My Intro
Hi everyone! My name is Wendy Cisneros. In my spare time I read manga books, aka graphic novels, and draw. I am a very curious person. Ultimately, I want to learn about everything that I can. I grew up speaking both English and Spanish. My family and I travel to Mexico to visit my parents' family all the time. In high school I learned French, but only remember a little bit now. Last but not least I am currently learning sign language, ASL. I love learning different languages! If you had not notice. The feeling of learning a new language makes me happy. I am currently taking ENG213 to fulfill my course requirement for a Language Certificate, a Associate in Arts Degree, and a Bachelor Degree. This is my last semester at GCC and will be transferring to ASU for the fall semester. I cannot wait until I get there!
Hi Wendy - I envy your having grown up bilingually-speaking. I am from northern Wisconsin and while some of the grandparents spoke German or Polish none of the succeeding generations did so. I applaud your efforts to learn ASL and until very recently had no idea how many different venues need the services of an interpreter. A friend of my brother's signs at live theatre events and for the live performances on Disney cruises and loves his work. What degree will you be pursuing at ASU?
ReplyDeleteI want to be a forensic anthropologist. I really like the mystery of things. As i have mentioned before I am a curious person.
DeleteHello Wendy! That's really awesome that you know both Spanish and English fluently, and it will be very impressive when you become tri-lingual. I still have one more year here at GCC but good luck on your ventures to ASU and I will enjoy being a classmate with you this semester.
ReplyDeleteHey Windy!
ReplyDeleteI have read manga as well. Which ones have you read? I am also taking ASL, and I already find it so interesting and fun to learn! I wish you all the best at ASU, and maybe we will see each other when I transfer next year.
Hi Wendy, I have always been intrigued by dolphins and they being one of the most intelligent mammals in the sea have always peaked my curiosity especially in tests using dolphin in national defense testing, although dolphins are just one of many types of animals tested for this endeavor I have always found then interesting creatures.
