Blog 1: Dolphins
Ever since I was little I love the water. I love swimming, and not just because I live in Arizona. I felt like I had a connection to the water. One day my mom showed me this dolphin necklace she had. The only thing that came to mind at that time, "Dolphins are so beautiful." Once I heard we had to do a blog related to language. I thought of dolphins. This was the reason why I picked this article.
I found that dolphins can detect anything and anyone just from sound waves. The sound waves they sent out can variety depending on the situation the dolphins are in. For an example the dolphins sent out a signal which their calfs can identify who is their mother. It is signal just for their calfs. I find this really interesting. These sounds waves they produce is the language of dolphins. This is how dolphins communicate to each other.
I agree with this article because dolphins have a way to communicate. A communication that lets dolphins learn about the world, their environment, and themselves. This can affect the world because if we don't know how dolphins or other animals communicate, we cannot protect them from dangers. We won't be able to acknowledge the dolphins intelligent, that can very well help people too. Now that I have learned more about dolphins I want to learn more. I want to study and be friends with dolphins!

My Intro
Hi everyone! My name is Wendy Cisneros. In my spare time I read manga books, aka graphic novels, and draw. I am a very curious person. Ultimately, I want to learn about everything that I can. I grew up speaking both English and Spanish. My family and I travel to Mexico to visit my parents' family all the time. In high school I learned French, but only remember a little bit now. Last but not least I am currently learning sign language, ASL. I love learning different languages! If you had not notice. The feeling of learning a new language makes me happy. I am currently taking ENG213 to fulfill my course requirement for a Language Certificate, a Associate in Arts Degree, and a Bachelor Degree. This is my last semester at GCC and will be transferring to ASU for the fall semester. I cannot wait until I get there!
